Student Support Services has moved all in-person counselling sessions to telephone. This change allows us to continue to offer support to our students at this difficult time while still following physical distancing guidelines.
We know that at times like this, students might need us more than ever.
The college university experience will provide you with many opportunities for growth and change. While many of these opportunities can be exciting they can also be overwhelming. The student counsellor can provide support and guidance through these difficult times when you need it. Sometimes talking with your friends or family is not possible or enough and speaking with a neutral person can help to provide emotional supports.
University College of the North provides comprehensive counseling and referral services for students who may be going through a challenging time. The Student Counselling office is staffed by experienced counsellors and operate on a short term and confidential basis. Students in need of long-term counselling services can be provided with an appropriate referral.
Student counselling services are available during regular office hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday except statutory holidays.
